Cheng Chen

Cheng Chen, is a Fluid Separation Scientist with Chevron Energy Technology Company. He graduated from Tsinghua University with a BS in chemical engineering in 2003 and then received Ph.D. degree in chemical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2009.

His expertise are oil-water separation and oilfield water treatment with a special focus on advanced membrane technologies. He started his career with Shell Global Solutions in Houston, Texas and later joined Chevron Energy Technology Company since 2014. He is leading several projects in novel water treatment technology development and providing technical support and consultation to water management for Chevron’s global upstream operations. He is also working on projects to optimise chemical treatment for production enhancement and process optimisation. He has authored a number of publications and presented at various conferences.
