Germán Sturzenegger is a Water & Sanitation Senior Specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). He has participated in the design of water and sanitation projects throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Germán leads the green infrastructure agenda at IDB’s Water and Sanitation Division, advancing conservation projects throughout the region. He also leads the impact evaluation and behavior change agendas, supporting the development of empirical evidence in the WASH sector. He has authored several publications. Among others, on how to foster water and sanitation markets and on the challenges the sector faces under the new development agenda. He is a Fulbright Scholar and holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from Harvard University and has been involved in the development world for the last ten years.
