Jorge Salas, Vice President for Water Business Development at Abengoa, is an Industrial Engineer with solid training in USA and UK and seven years of experience in engineering companies in the areas of production, sales and R&D+I. He joined Abengoa in 2003, and has furthered his professional career undertaking special engineering projects in the water sector, such as India’s first large desalination project (100,000 m3), located in Chennai, in addition to three desalination plants in Algeria (150,000 m3 each), among others. Prior to this, Jorge worked for Codesa, where he headed a number of desalination projects, and also gained experience in Adasa, where he worked as technical director for tenders, and was also responsible for the execution of water projects.
