Nuria Navarrete Rivera is Water Management Engineer in Corporate Engineering at Nestlé. As a member of the Water Management team she is in charge of water quality, compliance and sustainability within the operation of Nestlé factories and capital investment projects execution.
She has a degree in Biotechnology Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico with a minor in social development. She started working in sustainable water supply projects for rural communities in Mexico. Afterwards, she began working at Nestlé Mexico where she started as a trainee participating mainly in engineering, focus improvement, and safety & health functions; until she became Project Engineer for industrial services. Later on she was appointed Water Corporate Engineer for Nestlé Mexican Market where she was leading water saving initiatives and participated in the validation of the condensate polishing from milk water evaporation process in Cero Agua factory in Mexico, allowing the factory to run from recovered water instead of deep well water extraction. Afterwards, she was invited to her current position at Nestlé Headquarters in Switzerland.
