Simon van den Dries is currently heading Rencos, an IOT service provider for the water and power sector. Recently, Simon has been setting up the international Business of I-Real, a leader in water monitoring and control and public infrastructure IoT services in The Netherlands. Simon has been instrumental in enriching I-Real `s datalogger and sensor portfolio with new LPWA technologies, such as LoRa and continues to drive the globalization of I-Real through international partnerships.
I-Real has currently over 150.000 objects in real-time control in the Netherlands and is the major supplier to Dutch municipalities and waterboards for water monitoring and control solutions in storm-, ground-, surface- and drinking water. Prior to I-Real, Simon has held numerous roles in the telecommunications IoT market, working for SES (Satellite M2M), General Electric (GE Veriwise, Transport IoT) and Honeywell Global Tracking.
Simon has a degree of Public Administration from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam and has extensive experience in managing global business.
