Biography

Hans-Ulrich Buchholz is an expert in Environmental Protection, with a focus on wastewater, water resources and biodiversity.

Hans-Ulrich works in the corporate QEHS (Quality, Environment, Health and Safety) department at L’Oréal as water, wastewater and biodiversity expert. He focuses on the water/wastewater management of L’Oréal’s operations in order to evaluate and reduce the impact of the company’s industrial activities, especially on local water resources and biodiversity.

He is involved in the development of strategies and projects that combine business, economic and environmental protection in a holistic manner. He is in charge of the roll-out of the “Waterloop” factory principle for manufacturing sites.

Hans-Ulrich started his career more than 25 years ago in engineering and international project management in water treatment for municipalities and industry. This was followed by taking on key account responsibility for commercial and technical development and the lead in environmental projects in the Pulp&Paper sector/chemical industry within the SUEZ group.
