Monday 8th May

Day 0
13:00 - 14:00
Leading Utilities of the World Networking Lunch

Private lunch for members of the Leading Utilities Of the World (LUOW) Group.

13:30 - 17:30
SDG6 Utility Accelerator Workshop

An invite-only pre-conference workshop for utilities pursuing transformation.

Utilities are the only actors that can deliver the scale of impact needed to hit SDG6. There are ambitious leaders across the global South ready to change gear, and funds eager to deploy where they are needed most. Now a range of bold development initiatives have emerged to bridge the bankability gap that has held the two apart for too long.

With 25 utilities confirmed to participate, serving a total population of 235 million, the SDG6 Utility Accelerator Workshop will be facilitating critical connections between the key actors that can drive the impact of these initiatives.

During this session, we will see the launch of the Global Water Leaders Group’s ‘300 Group’ initiative, a performance improvement network announced as part of the 2023 UN Water Conference’s Water Action Agenda. Its goal is to help 300 utilities deliver SDG6 water and sanitation.
