Biography
Dr. Ahmed Kamal Moawad is the Vice Chairman of Egypt’s Holding Company for Water and Waste Water (HCWW). He received his PHD in environmental engineering in 1998 from Alberta University, Canada. He also has a master’s degree from Windsor University in environmental hydrology (1993), and a BSC from Ain Shams University, Cairo. He is a Professor at Al-Azhar University in Cairo.
Dr. Moawad joined the HCWW in 2007 as the Head of technical support and planning sector where he had been responsible for providing technical support for the subsidiaries companies in the fields of planning, operation and maintenance.
Dr. Moawad’s expertise covers different areas including water and wastewater design and management. During his career he has worked as a consultant engineer at various international consulting firms. Dr. Moawad has more than 50 publications in his areas of expertise.
