Biography
Aparajita leads the Foundation’s Core Program team within the London office’s Donor and Government Relations team. Prior to this, Aparajita led the Uttar Pradesh portfolio across health (maternal, child, neonatal), nutrition, family planning, agriculture and financial inclusion services and oversaw the India Country Office’s new efforts in the area of Primary Healthcare. Previously, Aparajita was the Deputy Director, Strategy, Planning and Management and helped craft the ICO’s first formal strategy in 2012-13.
Aparajita has been with the Foundation since August 2003, playing many roles: program manager of the Karnataka and the Northeast programs, advocacy and communications, lead, and head of Avahan’s programs, after having managed and led the transition to the government of India. Previously, Aparajita was seconded from the Foundation to support the Government of India’s National AIDS Control Organization to support the scale up of high risk group interventions.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Aparajita was a consultant in McKinsey & Company’s New York office for three years, serving media, retail and telecommunications clients. She has also worked with The Walt Disney Company’s Corporate Strategic Planning Group, based in Burbank, California, leading efforts in the mergers and acquisitions, technology, consumer products and R&D areas.
Aparajita holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, and an A.B. in Government from Harvard University.
