Francis D’Souza

Francis is an international business specialist in the telecom and Internet of Things (IoT) sector, with a career spanning roles in sales, marketing and post-merger integration. Having previously run sales teams and telco & IoT customer relationships based in Mumbai and London, Francis is currently based in Paris where he is building out the worldwide IoT Services business for Gemalto, built on Gemalto’s world leading position in cellular connectivity and digital security.

His team’s work revolves around enabling the ecosystem with simple and cost effective yet secure IoT services. This starts from protecting connected devices against weaponisation and breaches, and continues to securing the data they generate at rest and in motion from the device to the cloud. Gemalto’s IoT security and connectivity expertise is of particular value in critical infrastructure such as smart utilities, where the company is working with leading utilities and their infrastructure suppliers.
