Ken Hutchison

Ken’s prime focus is to export Scottish Water’s skills, experience and knowledge around the globe.

Scottish Water International has secured contracts in Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, India and Oman. Scottish Water International is sub‐contractor for a major change management project to support a publicly‐owned authority serving Qatar.

Ken is the former Director of Capital Investment for Scottish Water and he provided overall direction and leadership for the development and delivery of a customer‐focused, safe and efficient capital investment portfolio (c£500m/year). His career spans 25 years in the water industry in Scotland in various senior management roles. He has worked across a wide spectrum from design, construction, operations, and customer service. Ken has led significant change projects which have transformed Scottish Water’s operational and capital efficiency and have delivered significant customer value.

Ken is Chairman of WaterAid (Scotland), an organisation dedicated to the provision of clean water and sanitation in the developing world.
