Biography

Per Møller is head of Symbiosis Center Denmark.

As a biologist with a PhD in biochemistry, he is connecting research and the latest knowledge with his many years of experience in promoting industrial symbioses.

Per has extensive experience in managing both national and international projects, and he was the project manager on several of the major EU projects which the center has been associated with. For example, Per developed and ran the algae project E4Water in the Kalundborg Symbiosis, in which process water from industry was cleaned by microalgae which also fixed CO2 to create high-value products such as protein, pigments and fatty acids.

He has authored several academic articles, and has a background as an entrepreneur, commercial researcher, and consultant. Per has created several patents, is co-founder of the Sustainable Biofuels Network, and he has been part of INBIOM – an innovation network for biomass. Within the Symbiosis Center Denmark, Per ensures the interconnection of innovation, research, and industrial symbiosis in companies.
