Biography

Vincent Baujat is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique and ENSTA ParisTech engineering school. He began his career in 1983 as a Naval Architect for the French Navy, specializing in submarine technology.

In 1990, he joined SIDEM, a Veolia Water Technologies (VWT) subsidiary specialized in thermal desalination processes, as Director of Research and Development. In 1998, he was appointed Vice President of SIDEM, in charge of projects execution.

Four years later, he became Chief Executive Officer of SIDEM and, in 2007, a member of VWS Executive Committee, with responsibility for overseeing seawater desalination activities.

In 2012 he merged SIDEM with a group of reverse osmosis specialists within VWT. Hence SIDEM became a desalination specialist of both thermal and membrane technologies.

Since October 2015, while keeping his position within SIDEM, he is Executive Vice President of VWT Middle East region.
