Biography
Werner Redtenbacher is Business Group Director for the Main Business Area Water & Environment in ILF, a multi-disciplinary international engineering and consulting firm which, over its 50+ years of existence, has delivered a substantial number of high-profile water and projects around the world.
He is also a Member of ILF’s Group Management Board, in charge of strategy, business development and competence management for his Main Business Area.
Previously at ILF, Werner held the role of Head of Department for Water and Environmental Engineering based at its head office in Austria. In this role, he oversaw several complex Urban Water Systems projects in Europe, Middle East and Central Asia.
Werner joined ILF in 2015, following various technical, project and line management positions with Halcrow (since 2004) and CH2M (since 2011), in the UK and Middle East respectively.
He is a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers in the UK (MICE CEng).
Werner Redtenbacher holds Master degrees in Civil Engineering and Water Management from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Austria, and in Community Water Supply from the University of Cranfield, UK. He later augmented his engineering education with an MBA from Manchester Business School, UK.
