Prakash Govindan is co-founder and CTO of Gradiant, a technology-driven water services company with a suite of proprietary solutions to enable efficient, economical industrial water treatment and recycling currently focused on oil & gas, power, mining, high recovery desalination, and ZLD applications. Dr. Govindan is responsible for the technical operations of the company including R&D, new product initiative, engineering and field operations. Dr. Govindan earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from MIT, where he developed the Carrier Gas Extraction (CGE) technology, which is Gradiant’s flagship product. His work on CGE was awarded the Water Technology Idol for 2013 and won the Industrial Water Project of the Year for 2014 at GWI’s Global Water Summit. Dr. Govindan previously worked at General Electric as a thermal engineer in the new products division.
